This is the starting post for SleepingBagCamping.com which will hopefully share some good camping stories from the past and now. Needless to say I would rather be living the topic than writing or reading about it.

I started camping way back in the 50′s in the Great Smokey Mountains. That was ideal camping country, but since migrating to Louisiana in the 70′s it hasn’t been as great. There are good places to camp everywhere though.

We will focus most of our effort on non RV style camping. The kind where you sleep on the ground or a cot in a tent, or under the stars. From time to time we hope to have guest authors that have something interesting to share in the world of camping.

The site will also promote outdoor products from merchants that we think are trustworthy. We hope to generate a little affiliate income to pay for our servers and coffee as well.
